By the name of Meneer Janssen, I make music for people who like to learn the Dutch language.
Blij met jou is a sweet song for my mother as well as a song to practice Dutch prepositions. My former student Anas Khadem Al-jamie plays acoustic guitar and my daughter Stella provides the backing vocals. The artwork was done by another former student of mine: Maher Al Malek.
ER is een feest is a song to learn how to use the difficult Dutch word ‘er’. The lyrics were written by Emily Palmer, author of Nederlands naar perfectie and 77 puntjes op de i.

Hoe heet je? (English: What’s your name?) is a song I wrote for VU University Amsterdam. It features Tom van Nuenen on lead vocals and guitars. One of my former students, Afshin Moemennejad, filmed and edited the video that premiered at the open day for international students.
