Like a stranger

Like a stranger doing cities
I rush from a to b
Forgetting all the places
The smiles, the stares, the gazes
I look ahead and don’t look back
Wonder if I will collapse
Can’t rest or even unpack

While the life that’s in between
Beholds the truth I should have seen
That I’m your brother, you’re my sister
But would you pause to soothe my blister?
I guess I read it in a magazine:
Without love, man is but machine.
